Eligibility Criteria
A candidate is declared eligible for PGDM Courses, if he/she has passed the degree examination of a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks and minimum 45% marks for backward class candidates from anywhere in India. Such candidate’s application must be accompanied with relevant caste certificates and non-creamy layer certificates at the time of confirming the admission. Absence of such certificates at the time of submitting the Admission application forms for admission to the course disqualifies them from reserved category seats, and such candidates will be considered for open/general category. Final year degree students, who have not received their result will be allowed to appear for the admission process, provided at the time of taking admission they have a certificate from their college/university about being a final year student awaiting result.

A. Merit (General) Category
90 percent seats in all courses will be filled through merit category.Regular Admission is granted to those applicants who have fulfilled all the admission requirements and whose name appears in the regular merit list of successful applicants.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum 50 percent marks at Graduation. Minimum 50% marks in aggregate till last exam given at the time of filling up of application form, if appearing in final examination in 2014.
  • In order to be called for GD/PI for admission to PGDM & PGDM (IB), an applicant must have a valid CAT (i.e. CAT score card of CAT 2013)/ Valid GMAT score.
  • In order to be called for GD/PI for admission to PGDM (RM), PGDM (IBM) & PGDM (SDP), an applicant must have valid CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT score.
  • Cut off point and number of candidates to be called for GD/ PI process:
  • There is no pre-defined cut-off, but the call list will be prepared on the basis of CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/CMATpercentile in a ratio of maximum 1:10 for total number of seats in all the programmes after the last date for applying.
B. Sponsored Category
10 percent seats will be filled through Corporate / NRI / NRI sponsored / International Students category.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Minimum 50 percent marks at Graduation. Minimum 50% marks in aggregate till last exam given at the time of filling up of Application form, if appearing in final examination in 2014.
  • Group Discussion / Personal Interview & Write-up.
  • This will be a separate category. A separate merit list will be prepared for candidates in this category.
  • The sponsoring company must have annual turnover of Rs. 50 crore minimum supported by latest financial statements (audited copy of the balance sheet of financial year 2012-13) to be submitted at the time of submission of first installment of the tuition fee.
  • A sponsorship letter from Company is required as per Annexure – 1
  • For NRI Sponsored Candidates – Candidates will have to submit Sponsoring NRI’s sponsorship letter as per Annexure – 2. Passport copy and visa or evidence of NRI status all duly attested by a qualified notary or Indian mission/consulate or Indian Chamber of commerce in the country of residence or by consulate /mission / embassy of the concerned country in India is required. Proof of income – minimum 50,000 USD per annum income of the sponsorer will also have to be produced.
  • The total tuition fee for two years will be payable in two equal yearly installments.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation from any statutory University (45% for reserved category).
  2. In case of PGDM (Executive Batch), candidate should have 3-5 years of industrial work experience as a full time employee in the field of Sales, Marketing, Human Resource, Finance, Operations, Systems and related areas of management in the industry is eligible. These applicants should submit the industry experience certificate signed by the Director(HR) or any other authorised signatory of the Company / Companies and copies of their Appointment Letters along with the application form. There will be no difference in the course curriculum for this batch and they will receive the same inputs as applicable to the PGDM Programs except for the fact that they can expect lateral placements with higher compensation packages. Those having lesser number of industrial experiences also get different and upgraded placements depending upon their corporate experience though they may not be admitted to the Executive Batch, but to the other courses.
  3. Relevant work experience means full time employment in any company and not in the family business. It also means working on full-time basis on the specialization departments in the company such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, IT, Operations and so on. Only such candidates can expect differential compensations based on work experience. However the selection committee can look into all the other type of work experiences and consider award of marks.
  4. Candidates appearing for any final year Degree examination up to June 2014 can also apply. However, if they fail to match the above qualitative requirement when the result is declared for the graduation examination, they will be relieved from the course compulsorily. Same will be the case with respect to those who fail in their degree examination, which means a candidate should qualify his/her graduation examination with a minimum of 50% marks latest by the academic year 2013-14. The mark sheets should be submitted to the Institute latest by 01 November 2014.
  5. Medical Fitness should be as explained in this Handbook.
  6. Should be willing to comply with the Rules and Regulations of the Sri Balaji Society as explained in this Handbook.
Selection Procedure

Written Examination
We accept CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. However, as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores are issued to the students, any student who has appeared for the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT examinations can apply for our courses with the CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. Thus, all the four Management institutes will accept CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores. However, the XAT, MAT and CMAT scores will be equalized and validated to the CAT score value and that will only be counted for the purpose of merit list. Anyone having any objection to the same, need not to apply. We do not believe in any cut-off points as we give only 30% of the weightage for the entrance examination, while making the merit list.

Group Discussions
Candidates who fulfill the qualitative requirements will be called for the Group Discussions by experts . This will be for a duration of 30-45 minutes per group. This may include role play, case studies and extempore speech and GD. 40% of the weightage in the merit list will be given to the GD process. Therefore the GD process may extend to the second day although all efforts will be made to complete the process in one day. This is an elimination round.

Admission Details

Admission Details

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with minimum 50% marks in graduation (45% for reserved categories) from recognized university and with a valid score in national level entrance tests CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ CMAT are eligible to apply (all such exams shall be treated at par) enabling the candidate to appear for GD-PI process directly.

Candidates appearing for the final year degree examination up to June 2014 can also apply. Such candidates, whose final year degree result is not declared at the time of admission will be admitted provisionally after submitting a bonafide certificate from the Head of the Institution stating that he /she is a regular student. The admission of such a candidate will be confirmed only if he/she provides a proof of passing the final year degree st examination with minimum 50% marks by 31 August, 2014.

  • Aspirants desirous of applying for any of the AICTE approved PGDM Programmes can apply online or download application form from the website and send the same duly filled in paying application fee of Rs. 1000/- by cash or D/D in favor of MITCON Institute of Management, Pune.
  • Candidates have to appear for Group discussion & Personal Interview (GD & PI) on date & venue as communicated by MITCON Institute of Management.
  • Names of shortlisted candidates will appear in Merit list.
  • To confirm admission, candidate should pay Rs 50,000 /- within seven days of display of merit list along with the original documents.
